Ms. Toppi started Kindergarten, in Cambridge, and was not able to speak English. This caused her to dislike school as she struggled to be understood and to understand. The next year, she went to first grade in Plymouth, MA and loved her teacher, Miss White. Because of that teacher and her own patience and ability, Ms. Toppi is an avid reader today and since then has grown to love school. She believes that because of the time her teacher took to help her, she teaches today. 

Her favorite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
